how to find the way?

don’t expect a guide here, that explains how to use any of the many camino apps, google maps, gronze or other little helpers (that also suck time).

this post is more about how to search for the camino inside and how to try and not loose the way once embarked on.

the camino is a metaphor for life. we have all heard that often. but how exactly?

you can never step into the same river twice. once you lift your foot and return it to the water, you are met by a new current. the long path we all walk, like life itself, is this very river, forever in a state of flux.

even if you wander (wonder) the exact same route again and again - for me it is the second time on the camino francés - every journey remains unrepeatable.

not only the ‘flowing’ world changes around you, but you are no longer the same wanderer who took the first step. you are an ever-evolving mosaic of past kilometers and future horizons.

because your true self is a continuous, fluid process of becoming, you are always in motion, when you pay attention and are in the moment, you are in ‘flow’, unfolding into the great unknown. you are alive in fragments of time. or you can be.

the camino (my camino, your camino) is a deeply personal and transitory creation, no two steps and no two days will ever be exactly the same. they are gone in fragments of time also.

please let me know your thoughts on this.
