all planned out, or not

as things go. i thought i had planned it all well. i had, but i also had forgotten about it. it should have been a short hiking day ending in the smallest albergue yet, with only 5 beds for pilgrims. a donativo albergue - you give what you think and what you can to support the people running it.

but as said, i had forgotten about it and also forgot to make the actual reservation. so we started the day with a plan for 21km following the rough route outline on gronze.com (a very good resource for any camino-goers, pilgrim or not), but forgot to look whether the village at the supposed end had an actual albergue. there isn’t one in gondán.

luckily we found the donativo, that i had originally planned along the way, and even more lucky, the hospitaleros were actually home, welcomed us into their place in german, and we are done walking for today.
